Community Involvement: How Can You Help
   
Business & Store Owners, Community Based Organzation
 
Participation in our DESERVE Program allows business owners and community organizations to support and ease the financial burden of their neighbors whose lives have been temporarily disrupted by cancer, it's treatment and side effects.

Volunteer Program
 
Help SIT NET further it's mission by joining our volunteer program. Give a little of your time to a mucn needed cause. 
 
SIT NET welcomes all those who are interest in volunteering their time to raise awareness about breast and other cancer types.  If you are able to start by volunteering just 3 hours per week you would have met SIT NET's criteria to become a Volunteer Staff.  Meet some of our Volunteer Staff...

Q.  Do I have to be a college student to become a volunteer?
A.  No. 
 
Q.  I am a freshman in college, can I begin my intership with SIT NET? 
A.  Speak to the appropiate staff at your college to learn when you may begin your intership.  If your college is not familiar with Survival Instinct The Network, INC Volunteer Program and request additional information simply call us and we will be sure they receive information on SIT NET's volunteers and intership program. 
 
Q.  I really don't have much experience in the business field so how would I fit into your volunteer program?
A.  SIT NET offers a variety of ways for one to volunteer; as an example - you may assist by becoming a member of one of our committees, or reach out to cancer survivors and their surviving caregivers via phone to inform them of upcoming events, consider becoming a board member, etc or you may be asked to become a "buddy" and escort one who is currently undergoing treatment to their oncology center or become an escort to one of our many trip outing and the list goes on and on.......
 
Those with degrees, background and/or experience in Public Health, Human Services or related fields, Recreation, Theatre, Business Management or Social Work should contact SIT NET as soon as possible as these position fill up quickly.
 
Our volunteer program is year round and may be tailored to accommondate the semester schedule of a college student

  • Administrative Assistant - Office Skills
  • KIDS Programs - Basketball, Short Story Writing, Music
  • Performance Arts Team - Theatre, Musical, Plays, Dance
  • Facilitate a Support or Peer "Link Up" Group 
  • Join our research team
  • Join our grant writing team
  • Join our planning committee - Planning upcoming events and activities
  • Join our "Ways to improve" committee

  • Assist with photography, video  
  • Business, Religious and Financial Mentoring
  • "Buddy" Escort
  • Become a member!
