DESERVE PROGRAM

SIT NET's DESERVE Program is the HEART of our organization.
Care and concern is shown to each and every member. Through special services and perks, cancer survivors and their surviving caregivers are given the royal treatment - Why? Because they *DESERVE* it!

Our DESERVE Program is a community membership driven fundraiser.

Members are encouraged to participate, and invite guests, to SIT NET's activities and functions that promote cancer awareness, early detection and health treatment options.

Members of our DESERVE program receives a SIT NET DESERVE CARD

at a low cost. Their DESERVE CARD grants them discounts at participating businesses and stores.

(Funds from membership fee go directly back into the

organization to contribute toward future cancer awareness activities and events)

Members also may participate in one or more of the following:

Theartre Clubs Discounts, Nominated to receive SIT NET's Annual DESERVE Award (Def #7), or may be chosen to participate in our

7 Point Power or Survivor Rockship Program or may serve as

Surviving Grand Marshall (Def #9).

Keep Individuals Different Safely (K.I.D.S.)Program

SIT NET's KIDS program supports each childs uniqueness and individuality by allowing him/her to be creatively and artistically different. The focus is on the child to not allow

their loved one diagnosis end their HOPE & DREAMS for tomorrow. Children are usually the last to know or have been given little information about their love ones diagnosis which may cause fears and anxieties. Of course each family choose to devulge such news to their child at a time when they feel is the right, and when that time arrives SIT NET is there for support.

In a safe environment, our KIDS Program promotes socialization, communication and the uniqueness of ones individuality and through their creative and artistics abilities. SIT NET KIDS program fosters teambuilding and entrepreneurship skills.

KIDS express their feeling and indiviuality through one or all of the following:

KIDS Peer Link-Up Group - (See Support & "Link Up" Groups)

Sports - SIT NET Basketball Clinic and Team
Performing Arts - KIDS learn to create different characters in SIT NET's theatrical productions written to bring cancer awareness and coping skills to children. This program also include: STEP Team, Music 101
Music and Dance Appreciation

Mentoring - Professionals from various fields guide KIDS toward moving forward in their lives. Mentoring programs are in the following areas: Music, Finance, Short Story Writing, Faith Based, Photography & Performing Arts & Technical Support. Broadcasting, Community Development
Internship - Participants learn more about their chosen career field or their field of interest through interning.
Creative X-Pression - Participants are encouraged to express thier feeling of a

loved one's diagnosis on canvas, writing poetry, songs or spoken word.

Homework Help Referral Program

Parents and members of the community are encouraged to come out and show support to our KIDS as they perform their annual theatrical play or basketball game, or what they have learned in their mentoring sessions. While all children in the community are welcome to join participant and join our program and activities - our target groups are those children of cancer patient

cancer survivors & surviving caregivers.

7 - Point Power Program

Breast Cancer patients and survivors are chosen from our DESERVE Program to participate in a 6-month program that builds confidence, self esteem, and hope during and post cancer treatment.

The program was developed to improve the quality of life for breast cancer patients and breast cancer survivors. This program will assist them in moving forward in their lives.

7-Point Power Program takes each acceptee through a series of activities, group participations, social functions and other measures to address these concerns during and post treatment. Participants will be assessed monthly on their reactions toward this program.

Spirtuality

and Future Goal Setting

Upon program completion, participatnts will enjoy a relaxed day of pampering at the spa!

Creative X-Pression (My Journey)

Cancer patient, survivors and surviving caregivers are given the opportunity and are encouraged to convey their expressions and feeling onto canvas telling the story of their journey through painting, original poetry

or songwriting
