Our Mission .....To promote cancer awareness, early detection, prevention and screening.  To improve the quality of life for cancer patients, surviving caregivers and the community.  To disseminate information on cancer care and treatment options.
 
Purpose ....To educate men, women and of age children on the importance of early screening and detection.  To empower the community by providing the information, knowledge and inspiration that is needed to begin their journey toward making informed decisions about care before, during and/or after diagnosis.

Survival Instinct The Network, Inc was founded in 2005 by Jahi and Sylvia Williams-Simmons. 
Its birth stemmed from their own personal battle with cancer and the need to increase cancer awareness, early detection and prevention in communities cited to have a high cancer mortality rate. 
 
With a loving husband and family members (mother, sister, niece and nephew) by her side, they fought a battle they had no other choice except to win - which they did.  While traveling their journey, they begin to see where there was a need to increase cancer screening, early preventions and testings to others. 
 
In October 2006, Survival Instinct The Network, Inc became incorporated by the
State of New York. 
 
It was due to hard work and dedication that on May 22, 2007 Mercy Seat Baptist Church (Def #5) recognized Survival Instinct -The Network, Inc for its cancer community service work and presented the organization with the prestigious - Reverend Paul Williams Hayes Award!

On June 18, 2007, Survival Instinct The Network, Inc annouced it's 501c3 Public Charity Organization (Def #6) status by the Internal Revenue Service - Congratulations SIT NET!

Were married on September 4th, 2005  Sylvia had been diagnosed with breast cancer 3 weeks earlier on August 19, 2005. 
 
Knowing of their long journey to come Jahi and Sylvia walked in faith down the isle  - in peace  - harmony - and In God's speed.
